From the age of 6 I knew hairdressing was my passion, by 12 I had my first job as a Saturday boy in a salon which only confirmed my love for it. I then worked and trained in South London which began my incredible journey. At the age of 21 I moved to Dorking and instantly fell in love with its quirky yet homely feel which made me decide to open my own salon in this lovely little town. Not only have I achieved my life long goal of owning my own salon, I also teach in it what I love and do best. My team and I work together to get the best results and to make you walk out feeling fabulous and excited for your next visit. Everyday I work just makes my ambition grow stronger, The love I had for hairdressing aged 6 has never gone away.

I have been hairdressing for 45 years and enjoy the profession as much now as when I started. Hairdressing is my passion. As I have worked in Dorking for many years my clients are mainly in the area. Since having the good fortune to work with Darren for several years, I am the happiest I have ever been. We have a wonderful team and we all get on so well. I like to make sure that all our clients feel important and special. To leave the salon feeling wonderful and happy about themselves is my main intention. Most of my clients are from word of mouth recommendation, which I think counts for a lot. I like to keep up to date with styles, techniques and products, as the profession is always changing for the better. I look forward to meeting you in the future.

I started with Darren as a Saturday girl back in 2005 at the age of 14. Since then I have completed my hairdressing NVQ level one and two which with a lot of hard work I managed to win apprentice of the year. I have now been fully qualified for 7 years, I am L’Oréal trained and have on-going training to stay up to date with all the latest fashions, trends and techniques! I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but I do have a real passion for wedding hair and hair up. I love being artistic, creative and using my imagination! I aim to please every client I deal with and nothing is too much trouble.

I started as an apprentice at Darren James Bye Hairdressing in October 2015. I always wanted to do hairdressing from a young age and my dream came true when I started working here. I am now a senior stylist and look forward to meeting you in the future.
