As an apprentice in a salon you have an important role, You are primarily the back bone as to how the salon functions. An apprentice keeps the workplace tidy and clean at all times which is proven a challenge when the stylists are fully booked, you have to keep a flow of clean towels going at all times, serve tea and coffee, wash hair, take bills, mix up colour, assist stylists when needed and of course this must all be done with a smile.
On top of all of that an apprentice is someone wanting to gain a skill for life in something they are passionate about.
In Darren James Bye’s case our apprentice is Ruby, A bubbly character keen to learn who has grown not only as a hairdresser but grown into a confident young lady filled with ambition and drive. Ruby has been training for 2 years and 3 months now working hard towards her target of becoming a junior stylist here at DJB. After all those days of going through cuts and colours on models, gaining skills taught by Darren himself, We are proud to announce that we have gained another incredible stylist!
Well done Ruby, Now time to work the salon floor.
